Robin Prentice joined the Birmingham Chapter in August 2007 and chaired the 2009 Administrative Professional Day Luncheon Committee, co-chaired the 2008-2009 Membership Committee and the 2009-2010 Program and Publicity Committee. Robin was selected as the Birmingham Chapter's 2010 Administrative Professional of the Year and obtained the CAP rating in November 2010.

Jami is an Administrative Supervisor at Volkert Inc., a professional firm providing Civil Engineering and Program Management services. She joined IAAP in January 2006 and earned her CAP rating shortly afterward in May. She was named the Birmingham Chapter “2009 Administrative Professional of the Year”.
Administrative Secretary - Antoinette "Nicole" Johnson
Children’s of Alabama, Acute Care Division
Nicole joined IAAP in February of 2010 and quickly became active in chapter activities. She chaired the Newsletter Committee for 2010-2011. She was recognized as a 2010-2011 Member of Excellence, 2010-2011 Professional Development Award for the Birmingham Chapter and Greatest Professional Development for the Alabama Division in 2010-2011. She recently graduated from Virginia College with an Associate of Science in Administrative Office Management and is currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree with Univ. of Phoenix.
Membership Secretary - Wanda Jackson

Retired Executive Assistant with AT&T, Wanda is now working as an Individual Assistance Specialist. Wanda has been a member of the Birmingham Chapter of IAAP since 2009. Wanda is serving her first term on the Birmingham Chapter Board for 2011-2012. Wanda has been an active member and a host at IAAP Annual Luncheon 2009 through 2011.
Treasurer - Helen Allen
Children’s of Alabama - Corporate Communications & Marketing
Helen Allen has been employed for 23 years at Children’s of Alabama formerly Children’s Hospital/Children’s Health System. She worked 13 years in Telecommunications, 1 year in purchasing, 3 years in Physician Relations and 6 years in Corporate Communications & Marketing and is still currently working. Helen joined the Birmingham Chapter in January 2007, and Chaired 2008-2009 Research and Education, co-chaired the 2008-2009 Luncheon, Chaired the 2009-2010 Luncheon and assisted with the 2010-2011 Luncheon. Presently, Helen is serving her second term as Treasurer for 2011-2012.
Immediate Past President - Melissa Cooper, CAP/PLS
Melissa has worked in the legal field as a Legal Assistant for approximately 15 years. She joined IAAP as a member of the Mobile Chapter in 2002 and later transferred her membership to the Birmingham Chapter. She has served on many committees, including the Scrapbook and Photography Committee and several years on the Birmingham Chapter Board.
